Ashley186s VH
This is my Project. VH Commodore my friends bought me for my 21st.
Ive had it for just over 12 months now, and since I am on Uni Holidays at the moment i have had time to complete all the rust repairs including:
Welding New Bottoms into 3 Doors.
Welding New Sections in Rear 1/4s.
Welding Sections into front and rear window apertures.
Welding over old LPG filler Hole.
Have also spent hours upon hours sanding to get it to this stage. Its being Painted 2K White in about 2 Weeks by myself and my Partners old man.
I have pulled down the engine, and because i am on a tight budget im just going to put new rings, bearings lifters, gaskets in it and a mild cam.
On my left to buy list is:
-New Front/Rear windscreen seals
-Weatherstrips
-Tail Lights
-Engine Parts
-Bonnet Rubbers
I have a 3K limit to build the car and after paint to get it to this stage has cost about $1000, including the 2 Pac paint and all the consumables for welding, filling and sanding.

Nice work mate. Bet your going to love seeing the car finished, after doing all this work to it.
Hope you post some pics up when she's painted, I don't see many white commodores on the road (apart from the ones with blue & white graphics & flashing lights!!!)

Yeah I am Pumped, I ordered the Paint for it Today so that should come sometime next week.
I have also re-tarred the sections where the front guards are. Just some minor filler/sanding work and its ready for action.

Re: Ashley186s VH
Spent this weekend working on the body, 90% prep work done. Weather permitting next weekend the primer goes down.
Also just won a set of Globe Mags for it on Ebay. Going to pick them up in a fortnight. Its taken months to find a complete set for sale.
I Also have some Xenon H3 Bulbs I accidentally bought (Meant to get H1s)/ The H3 Typically Suits Foglights.
If anyone has a need for them let me know, they are useless to me.

There hasnt been any activity on here in a while. If anyones still out there, I started the 202 rebuild on the weekend. Crank went in but needs to be pulled out again, rear main seal is too tight.

Crank is in. Rings Fitted and Pistons Fitted.
I have to go to an engine shop and have the cam gear pressed onto the new camshaft.
I should get some pictures up.
